Endorsed Candidates
Jesse Kelly Whips Establishment
Written by Catherine Moy
Wednesday, 25 August 2010 17:21

If there was ever any question about the REAL CHANGE that is coming, just look at Jesse Kelly, a young Marine who faced a Republican-establishment candidate in Tuesday’s primary and won.

Our PAC, WarriorsforCongress.com, wasn’t listening to the establishment. We didn’t care that the money was against Jesse Kelly. “No, we can’t help him. He won’t win.” That’s what we were told by “establishment” folks when we asked them to help Jesse.

We knew better. Jesse Kelly is a Warrior. We looked at him and saw a man who put his life on the line for our Constitution. We saw a Warrior who would take the Hill with our other candidates and help turn this country around. No more open borders. No new taxes.  In fact, push back the taxes. Yes to “we the people.” No to “Pelosi, Reid and Obama.”

“The message is that the voters of southern Arizona want a businessman and a combat veteran to fight for practical conservative solutions,” said Kelly’s campaign manager, Adam Kwasman. “They are rejecting career politicians.”

The message is also that people outside of Arizona believe in men like Jesse Kelly. Our friend, Mark Levin, put his name behind Jesse when the “establishment Republicans” pooh-poohed him. Thousands of Americans across the fruited plains came to Warriorsforcongress.com and supported Jesse and our other candidates, including Allen West, who also won last night!

Now Jesse will take on a career politician with a load of cash and we need to stand together again. Let’s get a jump on Jesse’s opponent now. Give what you can. If 100 people give $50 or more, that will help us get the message out that we ARE taking American back with men like Jesse Kelly.

Go Here NOW and let’s give Jesse an boost for November’s election.

Every person who donates $100 or more will help veterans running for Congress. It's a no-lose proposition. Two Tickets AND take Pelosi's Gavel?

Two Tickets to Paradise . . .?

Well, you might call it that if you enjoy rubbing elbows with other American patriots, listening to good ole’ American music and cheering on our men and women in uniform – all while listening to Sean Hannity emcee a day you’ll never forget at the San Diego Freedom Concert. All Freedom Concerts benefit the children of those brave men and women who've given their lives for our country or who are permanently disabled due to injury in line of dity.

Today Warriors for Congress kicks off our campaign to push our chosen Warriors over the finish line in first position. We have chosen a select handful of veterans who are running for Congress, all of whom you can find at Warriorsforcongress.com.

Your job is to donate $100 or more to the Warriors fund at Warriors Fund and your name will go into a drawing for two tickets to the Aug. 28, 2010. Your name will go on the Honor Roll of Warriors’ supporters and we will draw the lucky winners on Aug. 18, 2010. Each will receive two tickets.

Warriors has a total of four tickets, so we’ll make two drawings.

Here are some of the artists you will hear perform if you draw the winning tickets:

So not only do you have a chance of winning two tickets to Sean Hannity’s Freedom Concert, but you will help in the push to take the Speaker’s gavel away from Nancy Pelosi!

Now that's worth more than 100 bucks, ain't it? Go to https://www.completecampaigns.com/FR/contribute.asp?campaignid=WFC and donate $100 bucks or more to take out Nancy AND help these Warriors take the House:

Jesse Kelly, a Marine combat veteran who served in Iraq, is running against a liberal In Arizona’s 8th District. Kelly has a strong plan to stop the illegals from flooding America.

Duncan Hunter Jr. is a former Marine Captain who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He represents the 52nd District of California and stands for strong national security, including protection of America’s borders.

Nick “Gunny Pop” Popaditch is a former Marine combat veteran who served in Desert Storm and Iraq. He was seen around the world as he and his Marines tore down the statue of deposed dictator Saddam Hussein. He is running for the 51st Congressional District against one of the most extreme liberals in the House.

These veterans need your help now to take the House. If they win, we all ALL WIN! – and you may get those two tickets to Freedom!!!! Now is the best chance we have to reverse the reckless course of the Obama-Reid-Pelosi failures.

All of these men and the other Warriors we support are running tough races. We must pitch in now to change course in the United States. Remember the days when we weren't FORCED to buy health care? Remember when you weren't called a racist just because you stood at a rally with an American flag? Those days can return if you donate today and take a chance at winning two tickets to the Freedom Concert.

The winners will head to sunny San Diego and hang out with Sean Hannity, Col. Oliver North, and hundreds of patriots for an unforgettable experience.

Five runners-up will get a signed book authored by Warriors Chairman Melanie Morgan and Executive Director Catherine Moy. The bestselling book, “American Mourning,” is the true story of two families whose sons gave their lives in Iraq

“Folks, this is it. We have to move now and we need you to help our veterans win their races,” Morgan said.

Fight so Troops can Vote!!!
Written by Catherine Moy
Monday, 26 July 2010 15:12

Artwork published in Harper’s Weekly shows Union soldiers from Pennsylvania casting absentee ballots during the 1864 presidential election. Image courtesy of Smithsonian Institution Library

Soldiers since the beginning of our nation have been able to vote during times of war, as the portrait above depicts. But now, with all of our technological advances, our country can't seem to get it together so our warriors can vote. This is outrageous, and WarriorsforCongress isn't standing still for it.

In the 2006 federal election, only about 30 percent of overseas military ballots were tallied, according to data from the federal Election Assistance Commission, which monitors election problems, and the Pew Center on the States. One-third tallied!! This is disenfranchisement of the very men and women who put their lives on the line so we can vote.

We are investigating the issue right now and have for a couple of years pushed and prodded to get a change. Now the gloves are off.

"We aren't sitting down for this one, folks," said Melanie Morgan, chairman of Warriors for Congress. "We need every American to stand with us as we take this on front and center."

Traditionally, troops have backed conservative and military-supporting candidates. This may be why the Obama Adminstration and the Democrat-controlled Congress isn't doing all it can to get our warriors voting. The history of this situation is ugly, and we will outline that here in this space over the next weeks. So keep coming back,

There are several ways you can help:

- Donate at this website.
- Register with this website.
- Come back often to sign petitions.

We will have some BIG news here soon on our actions.

Thank you for supporting our warriors.

Paper Makes Fun of Veteran's War Wound
Written by Catherine Moy
Tuesday, 13 July 2010 02:34

The mainstream media have sunk to a new low in an attack against a war veteran who lost his eye while fighting in the War on Terror. Nick Popaditch, whom you can read more about at www.warriorsforcongress.com, was injured in the fight for Fallujah and is medically retired. the Silver Star recipient is now running for Congress in the 51st Congressional District where the Imperial Valley Press ran a cartoon on Saturday skewering Popaditch's injury.

"How dare a newspaper run a cartoon attacking a veteran who fought for our country and lost an eye! Despicable," said Melanie Morgan, chairman of Warriors for Congress. "We proudly endorsed Nick Popaditch because he is an honorable man who fought for to protect our country. We will not stand for this and call on patriots to help us support Popaditch."

This is the cartoon that the newspaper ran:

Help Nick Popadtich and other Warriors today fight the liberal media as our Warriors continue to stand with our country. Go to http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=19821316&msgid=186313&act=K04C&c=685837&destination=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.completecampaigns.com%2FFR%2Fcontribute.asp%3Fcampaignid%3DWFC and donate.
"Criticizing a candidate on his political positions is one thing. But belittling a wounded veteran is a slap in the face to all of the men and women who have given of themselves for our country," Morgan said. "I am personally disgusted because Nick and I just recently worked together to raise money for care packages for our troops. He is a true patriot and deserves better than this."
Nick Popaditch is one of our Warriors. We will continue to work to get Nick and our Warriors elected.
Now is the time for America to stand up for the men and women who stood for us - and continue to pledge their lives in public service.

Warriors Chairman Hosts Troopathon
Written by Catherine Moy
Tuesday, 15 June 2010 15:19

Warriors Chairman Melanie Morgan is working with our friends at Move America Forward on its Third Annual Troopathon, an effort to send the most care packages ever to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. And as we enjoy the comfort of our homes and air conditioned offices, our troops are fighting through hellish heat.

The Troopathon which is set for July 1 and will broadcast live from the Richard M. Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, California. The Troopathon is a once-a-year fund-raiser held by the group and consists of an 8-hour live video broadcast over the web and radio. Melanie Morgan was the brainchild of the Troopathon and Catherine Moy was executive director as it raised $1.6 m illion in its inauguaral year for the troops.

Please go to the Website now and host a care package that includes a personal note from you. http://www.thecampaignstore.com/store/default.asp?parentid=448&rname=sfoshome

The Troopathon is a premier event in which major radio talkers, such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham, give their time for our troops. For the second year, Andrew Breitbart, the man who has changed news with his BigGovernment.com and other hugely popular website, will cohost with Morgan.

Hollywood personalities such as Dennis Miller and Jon Voight will return this year to the event, which will be live on Webcast on radio.

This year our friend, Gold Star Mother Debbie Lee, is back in Iraq where her son, Marc Alan Lee, was the first Navy SEAL to give his life. Debbie was the first Gold Star parent to visit the combat zone in a trip to Iraq that Moy arranged for MAF. Debbie Lee has a photographer, Warriors' friend Mary Pearson, and a videographer to document the trip. The footage will be shared during the Troopathon!

"I am so honored to continue my work for the bravest men and women in the world," said Warriors Chairman Melanie Morgan. "It means so much to our warriors in Iraq and Afghanistan to hear from home. We get regular cards and letters from the warzone thanking us for remembering them. They should not be thanking us. We need to honor them. And the Troopathon is a great way to do it."

We know that Warriors’ fans stand with our veterans. So let’s do something for our future veterans today. Make sure to go to http://www.thecampaignstore.com/store/default.asp?parentid=448&rname=sfoshome and sponsor a care package today.

Stepping Up for US
Written by Catherine Moy
Tuesday, 08 June 2010 00:23

So what's it going to be? Are we going to vote tomorrow and change the course of our country? Do we have the guts to stand against the mainstream media and their mainstream polls? Or are we going to stand down, let the country veer away from her roots for which so many have given their lives?

We are pushing to the end. We will stand with our Warriors, such as Chuck DeVore. We will stand for US.

Ask what you can do for your country now. Can you send $5 to the candidate? Talk to your neighbors about him? Make phone calls for him? Drive folks to the polls tomorrow?

Will you be the solution?

Now is the time. Now. Let's roll.

Warriors: Senate Candidate Must Withdraw

Warriors for Congress Condemns “Fake Veteran”

“Senate Candidate Richard Blumenthal dishonored all U.S. Veterans … and should withdraw from Race”

FAIRFIELD, CALIF. – Warriors for Congress today called for Richard Blumenthal, candidate for U.S. Senate in Connecticut, to withdraw from the race for repeatedly lying about service in Vietnam.

“Senate Candidate Richard Blumenthal dishonored all U.S. veterans when he lied about serving this country in the Vietnam War, and he should withdraw from the race,” said Melanie Morgan, chairman of Warriors for Congress. “If he’ll lie about being a war veteran even as our country fights the War on Terror, he is not trustworthy in any time.

“Career politicians like Blumenthal are the reason citizens don’t trust politicians,” said Morgan, a renowned advocate for U.S. veterans.

The New York Times reported that Blumenthal repeatedly said he had served in Vietnam, but he never did.

In fact, “he obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and took repeated steps that enabled him to avoid going to war, according to records,” the Times reports.

Blumenthal defended himself by saying he had said a “few misplaced words.”

“After reviewing his record, including video of Blumenthal saying he was in Vietnam, we aren’t buying his excuses,” Morgan said. “It’s time for him to do the right thing and remove himself from the Senate race. Our country has had enough of slick and untrustworthy politicians. Blumenthal owes it to veterans and those serving in warzones now to step down. He is not worthy as a candidate for Senate.”

Warriors for Congress (www.Warriorsforcongress.com) Melanie Morgan and Catherine Moy started Warriors for Congress to continue their missions of supporting American troops and veterans and to help Warriors help our country.

Warriors Endorses Lt. Col. Allen West
Written by Catherine Moy
Tuesday, 18 May 2010 16:04

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

  May 18,2010

Warriors for Congress PAC Endorses

Lt. Col. Allen West (Army Ret.) for Congress

FAIRFIELD, CALIF.  – Warriors for Congress PAC is pleased to announce its endorsement of Lt. Col. Allen West for Florida’s 22nd Congressional District as one of a select group of veterans earning Warrior support in the primaries.

“Col. West is the leader America needs to pull us out of difficult times. He is a decorated warrior who has put his life on the line to protect our Constitution,” said Melanie Morgan, Chairman of Warriors for Congress. “We need Col. West in the Congress.”

Col. West has been honored many times, including a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals (one with Valor), and a Valorous Unit Award. He received his valor award as a Captain in Desert Shield/Storm and also served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was battalion commander for the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, and in Afghanistan.

“Col. West is an exemplary American whose values lead back to America’s founding principles,” Morgan said. “Citizens who are serious about changing course in America should vote for Col. West.”

Col. West supports a flat tax instead of the current progressive tax system; suggests that the government should stop collecting payroll taxes for a 3-6 month period to help the economy;  and proudly supports the mandates of the Constititution.  Our U.S. Constitution plainly states that the preeminent purpose for Government is to protect the Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness of the citizen, we the Americans,” Col. West said.

Warriors for Congress (www.Warriorsforcongress.com) has chosen only nine select candidates to support during the primary campaigns. Morgan and Catherine Moy started Warriors for Congress to continue their missions of supporting American troops and veterans and to help Warriors help our country.

DeVore Loves Palin . . .but
Written by Catherine Moy
Friday, 07 May 2010 16:30

DeVore in uniform

Chuck DeVore in a late Thursday night note to California Citizens:

It's late.  I realize you may not even get this email until the morning.

I just finished strong in a one hour debate with Tom Campbell and Carly Fiorina (to be broadcast Sunday morning -- we'll send you the media analysis when it comes in).

But before I went to bed tonight I wanted to take a moment to type out some of my thoughts on the day’s news and provide you with an update on my campaign.

If you didn’t hear, Sarah Palin posted a Facebook message earlier today about the California Republican primary.

She bashed Tom Campbell.

She tried to ignore me.

And she announced her support of Carly Fiorina.

She called Fiorina a "commonsense conservative" and said Fiorina is "the only conservative in the race who can beat Barbara Boxer."

I like Sarah Palin.  I think highly of her.  But she got this dead wrong.

Carly Fiornia is NOT a conservative.

And she is certainly NOT the only candidate in the race who can beat Barbara Boxer.

Let me address each of those issues with some cold, hard facts.

Is Carly Fiorina a conservative?

  • She supported the Wall Street bailouts.
  • She supported Cap and Trade.
  • She supported the confirmation of Sonia Sotomayer.
  • She has criticized the new Arizona immigration law.
  • Before she was fired as the CEO of Hewlett-Packard, she allowed the company to sell technology to Iran.
  • And last year when liberal Democrats and moderate Republicans were trying to push through a massive tax increase in a California referendum, Carly Fiorina had "no comment."

I call her a "John McCain Republican" – she talks the talk from time to time and says she’s a conservative but she has a “never with us when it counts” record just like McCain.

Don't get me wrong, if a liberal Republican like Tom Campbell or a moderate Republican like Carly Fiorina win the primary instead of me, I will support them against Barbara Boxer.

But there’s no need to make a compromise like that.

This is not a primary election where electability needs to be a factor.

Again, let me offer the cold hard facts.

Here’s the most recent polling numbers from the independent Rasmussen poll.

  • Fiorina 38% - Boxer 42%
  • DeVore 39% - Boxer 42%
  • Campbell  41% - Boxer 43%

The margin of error in the poll was 4.5%.

That means Fiornia is statistically tied with Boxer.

So am I (actually one point better than Fiorina).

And so is Tom Campbell.

There is literally no difference at all in how we are performing against Boxer.

The fact is Boxer has been mired in the mid-to-low 40s for more than a year.

Whether it’s her abrasive politics, her leading role in Cap and Trade, the way California Democrats have run the state into the ground, the way Washington Democrats are running the country into the ground, the "Can you call me Senator?" episode, or something else, the fact is Barbara Boxer is going to have a very difficult time winning re-election this year.

So the choice before the California primary voters isn’t who can beat Boxer…

…it's which Republican candidate best represents your values.

  • Is it Tom Campbell, the "Nelson Rockefeller Republican" who supported the largest tax increase in history at the state level, a 32-cent gas tax increase, and is liberal on social issues?
  • Is it Carly Fiorina, the "John McCain Republican" who claims she is a conservative but has a never with us when it counts record of support for the bailouts, for cap and trade, and for the confirmation of liberal Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor?
  • Or is it me, Chuck DeVore, a "Ronald Reagan Republican" who has a proven, conservative record on taxes, on spending, on social issues, and on defense?

I believe it's vitally important to California and America’s future that we get Barbara Boxer out of the Senate…

...but I also believe it's just as important we replace her with a true conservative who will faithfully hold strong to the Founding Father's vision of a limited government

My record is clear.

I have a proven voting record in the California State Assembly that has earned me several "Legislator of the Year" awards from conservative organizations.

I was a Reagan White House appointee in the Pentagon and I’m a Lt. Col. in the U.S. Army Reserve.

And I was against the bailouts, against cap and trade, and against the confirmation of Sonia Sotomayer.  I support the Arizona immigration law.  And when California Republican moderates tried to raise taxes I resigned my leadership position in protest.

My record has earned me support from conservatives like:

***       Senator Jim DeMint's "Senate Conservative Fund"
***       Governor Mike Huckabee's "HuckPAC"
***       Congressman Tom McClintock (R-CA)
***       Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA)
***       Congressman Jeff Flake (R-AZ)
***       The Tea Party Express
***       Citizens United PAC
***       Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC
***       And more than 60% of California’s Republican elected officials.

Media commentators Glenn Beck, George Will, Andrew Breitbart, and Mark Levin have all identified me as the true conservative candidate in this race.

I'm not going to lie to you, I would have liked Sarah Palin's endorsement, too (and I look forward to getting it after I win the primary).

But the support I most need and want is yours.

If you live in California, I need your vote on June 8th.

And no matter where you live, I urgently need your immediate financial support.

Based on the Facebook and Twitter comments, it seems a lot of Sarah's supporters weren't very happy about her decision to support Carly.

To those of you who are looking for a strong, tried-and-true conservative who can win in November, I invite you to join my team right now.

I need your help.

Click this link right now to make a donation and help me win this primary. Any amount you can give, even if it’s just $5, will make an immediate difference.

I am the REAL conservative who can win this primary and defeat Barbara Boxer.

But I can’t do it by myself.

I need the help of conservatives like you.  And I need it right now.

Join my team today and together we can put this country back on track.  It only takes a minute to make a donation.  But the impact could last a lifetime.

So please don't delay.
Click this link right now and help me, the "Ronald Reagan Conservative," win the Republican primary.

All the best,

Chuck DeVore
State Assemblyman (R-CA)
Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army Reserve
